About Jeffrey A. Miller

Jeffrey A. Miller is a renowned attorney and former state senator from Bradley County, Tennessee. From humble beginnings, raised by a public servant father, he has become a pillar of his community, helping others in their times of need and making an impact through his many years of service.

Miller was encouraged from a young age to live a life of service, and he embraced this challenge with enthusiasm. After earning his Bachelor's Degree with High Honors in 1985, he furthered his education at the University of Tennessee College of Law, completing his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1987.

He started his professional career at the Law Offices of Jeffrey A. Miller in 1988 and has since gained a vast amount of experience in both civil and criminal courts throughout Tennessee and beyond. Miller also became a licensed affiliate broker with Award Realty and has assisted his legal clients in the procurement and sale of real property. His passion for helping those in need has led him to provide pro-bono services to  veterans and their surviving spouses to assist them in receiving VA benefits, taking the charge to care for our orphans and widows to heart, also performing  adoptions free of charge.

Miller served as State Senator for the 99th–104th General Assemblies between 1994 until 2006. He represented Bradley, Loudon, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Polk Counties. He was a former Senate Republican Caucus Chairperson and served as Chairmen of the Environment, Conservation, and Tourism Committee, Vice Chairman of the State and Local Committee, Secretary of the Senate Transportation Committee, member of the Senate Finance, Ways and Means Committee, past member of the Senate Commerce, Labor, and Agriculture Committee, and as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

He was elected by his Republican State Senate peers to serve as the Senate Republican Caucus Chairman, and that he was proudly  endorsed by Tennessee Right to Life and the NRA with an A+ rating.  He was also supported by the Tennessee Farm Bureau.

Miller has been highly involved in his community, serving as a past president of the Kiwanis Club, a previous member of the Junior Achievement Board of Directors, and the United Way Board of Directors. He also serves as co-host of a current events talk show called The Morning Jive on WOOP FM 99.9 in Cleveland, TN.

Throughout his life, Miller has been awarded numerous honors and is a recipient of the Distinguished Kiwanis Club Past President Award, the Ten-Time Pillars Club Award, the Tennessee School Board Association Legislative Award, the Professional Educators of Tennessee Voice for Education Award, the Tennessee Home Education Association Friend of the Family Award, the Tennessee Forestry Association Legislator of the Year Award, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Appreciation Award, and the United States Air Force Patriotic Employer Award from the National Committee for Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserve.

Miller’s impressive career and impactful legacy are testaments to his unwavering dedication to service and helping others in their times of need. As a political candidate for District Attorney of the 10th Judicial District, Miller is the ideal choice to further his commitment to protecting and serving the people of Bradley County.
